Welcome to Talk & Survive | Counselling for mums & mums-to-be🌸
I created Talk & Survive with one simple but powerful belief: talking is surviving.
Pregnancy and motherhood can be life-changing, but they can also bring challenges that leave you feeling exhausted, isolated, or uncertain of yourself. Whether you are expecting your first child or already a mum, it’s not unusual to experience anxiety, low mood, or even a deep sense of loss of identity. At Talk & Survive, you don’t have to carry those feelings alone.
About Me
I am a registered member of the BACP and currently work within the NHS Talking Therapies service, alongside my private practice, Talk & Survive. My passion lies in supporting mums and mums-to-be, especially those navigating hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). Having seen and experienced first handed the physical and emotional toll HG takes, I am deeply committed to offering a space where women can feel understood, supported, and safe to process the impact it has on their lives and wellbeing.
Therapy is not always easy, it takes real courage to talk about the painful parts of your journey. But here, you will find compassion, honesty, and respect. Together, we can work through the struggles of pregnancy and motherhood so you feel heard, held, and able to move forward with greater strength and hope.

The Mindful Parent Hub | The Big MOB Meet Up
Bringing Mums together to Rebuild, Connect & Thrive – Powered by Mums Who Build (The MOB)
This week's theme: PARENTAL BURNOUT
Join us on Friday 5th September at CRATE Walthamstow for our first Big MOB Mum Meetup of the new season. The kids have just gone back to school and now it's time to prioritise you, mum. This week’s theme is one that so many parents can relate to: Parental Burnout.
Whether you’ve just survived a full-on summer holiday juggling childcare and work, or you’ve got little ones not yet at school, parenting can feel like an endless marathon. This session is here to give you the tools, strategies, and space to reset.
Our panel of inspiring women will be hosted by Katie O’Malley and features:
- Gemma Dean – Parental Wellbeing Coach & Co-Founder of The Mindful Parent Hub
- Sima Rahman-Huang – Founder of Artists’ Apothecary & Co-Founder of The Mindful Parent Hub
- Fiona Campbell – Founder of East London dance company, Wee Movers, Fiona is a trained dancer, as well as a qualified children's yoga teacher and arts marketer with over ten years experience working with choreographers, arts organisations and public sector bodies in the UK and internationally
Together, they’ll explore:
- What parental burnout really is (and how it’s different from stress)
- Common triggers — and how to spot them early
- Practical strategies to protect your mental and physical health
- How movement, creativity, and community can help you recover and feel like yourself again
And great news — Wee Movers dance is back this week with two sessions:👶 Baby & 🧒 Preschool(Please book directly with Wee Movers to secure your spot.)
THE MEET-UP - WHAT TO EXPECT:
Becoming a mother is life-changing, but too often, it comes with isolation, loss of identity, and a lack of spaces designed for mums rather than just their babies. While countless activities exist for little ones, The Big MOB Mum Meet-up is about empowering mums first—offering friendship, networking, expert talks, and a sense of community in an inspiring space.
Meet-up Run of Play (p.s. it's very relaxed so turn up as you are and get involved with whatever takes your interest!)
COFFEE
Get 10% off Perky Blenders food and drink, free babycinno and a coffee refill (sign into The MOB website for discount code in the Benefits page).
FREE ETTA LOVES BABY PLAY AREA
Did you know, Jen, the founder of cult baby sensory brand, ETTA LOVES, started her business whilst on maternity leave in East London (Walthamstow - to be exact!). Jen has generously donated a collection of her most-loved Etta Loves products to the Meet-up, to create a special baby area for your little ones to relax and chill.
FREE CO-WORK
For anyone wanting to work in company, bring your laptop down, there's a great little space created especially for you.

ABOUT:
Welcome to The Big MOB Mum Meet-up!
Bringing Mums together to Rebuild, Connect & Thrive – Powered by Mums Who Build (The MOB)
“We created The Big MOB Mum Meet-Up because we believe mums deserve more — more connection, more inspiration, and more support — without barriers to feeling part of something. This isn’t just another baby group. It’s a space where mums can show up as they are, have fun, feel energised, and build confidence alongside other women who truly get it. Our goal is simple: to empower mums through community — starting with a free, welcoming space they can count on every week.”
— Georgie, Co-Founder of Mums Who Build
What is Mums Who Build (the MOB)?
Created by two mums – Georgie Harris and Rebecca Coxshall – Mums Who Build is a supportive community dedicated to helping mums grow their businesses and careers, build financial confidence, and achieve financial security.
We understand the unique challenges mums face – like balancing family and career or returning to work after a break – and we’re here to provide opportunities, practical advice, connection, and encouragement.
Our new MOB+ membership takes this support to the next level – offering a vibrant space to join the conversation, connect with like-minded mums, and work together to build lasting financial confidence. Join us and be part of a community that’s here to help you succeed.
Join us each week, for a fun and inspiring mum-hangout at CRATE Walthamstow. This event is the go-to space for mums to reconnect, rebuild, and feel empowered, without financial barriers. Connect with other mums in the community, share experiences, and make new friends. Whether you're a new mum or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome! Come enjoy some quality time with fellow mums in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We can't wait to see you there!
