A three-part workshop series for parents, by The Mindful Parent Hub
If that question feels familiar, you are not alone. Breaking the Cycle is a nurturing three-part workshop series designed to help parents explore the patterns, pressures and emotions that can make parenting feel overwhelming — and begin to gently shift them.
Held at the Good Shepherd Studios in Leytonstone, each Wednesday morning session combines guided creative practice with meaningful reflection, giving you time and space that is entirely your own.
Each 90-minute session weaves together therapeutic art-making, a guest speaker from the wellbeing community, and honest group conversation. You'll leave with a workbook and art journal pack to continue your practice between sessions.
No art experience or skills needed — just a willingness to show up for yourself.
Session 1 — Anxiety + Sound Therapy Art Wednesday 22 April · 10.45am–12.15pm
Explore how anxiety shows up in your body and your parenting. Using sound therapy and art-making, this session creates space to release tension and tune into what you're really feeling.
Session 2 — Generational Cycles + Family Collage Wednesday 29 April · 10.45am–12.15pm
So much of how we parent is inherited, absorbed from our own childhoods before we were old enough to question it. In this session, we'll use collaging to map family patterns and begin to explore which cycles you want to carry forward, and which you're ready to break and leave behind.
Session 3 — Setting Boundaries + Personal Shield Wednesday 6 May · 10.45am–12.15pm
Boundaries aren't walls — they're the foundations of healthy relationships. In this final session, you'll create your own Personal Shield: a visual declaration of your values, your limits and what you're protecting.
Three guided creative workshops
Workbook and art journal pack
Guest speaker from the wellbeing community
Refreshments
Good Shepherd Studios, Leytonstone
Spaces are limited.
If childcare is an issue not to worry, young children are welcome.
