Magmatism — Original Abstract Watercolour Painting on Canvas Board | Signed Original Art

£140.00

Magmatism is an original abstract watercolour painting created in 2019 by Sima Rahman-Huang, founder of Artists' Apothecary.

The title says everything about the energy of this piece. Magmatism speaks to the molten, primal forces that move beneath the surface — the inner heat of emotion, transformation, and creative energy that exists in all of us, often unseen and underestimated. Working in watercolour, a medium that demands a degree of surrender and allows colour to move in ways that cannot be entirely controlled, the painting reflects exactly this: something powerful finding its own form.

Abstract art at its best does not tell you what to feel — it creates a space for your own interpretation to rise up and meet it. Magmatism is that kind of work. It will mean something different to every person who looks at it, and that is entirely intentional. Whether you read heat, energy, depth, emotion, or simply a beautiful arrangement of colour and movement, this piece holds it all.

Painted on a slim canvas board, Magmatism does not require a frame, though one can be added according to personal preference. It can be displayed in landscape or portrait orientation — both work, and the choice of how to hang it is yours, which feels in keeping with a painting that has always been about individual response.

This is a one-of-a-kind original — once it has found its home, it will not be replicated. It is signed on the front by the artist.

About the Artist Magmatism was created by Sima Rahman-Huang, founder of Artists' Apothecary — a London-based creative wellbeing organisation that believes in the power of art to hold, express, and transform human experience. Sima's work as a painter sits alongside her community practice, and both are informed by the same conviction: that creativity is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
