Burnout to Balance: Parental Wellbeing Workshop Series

Feeling invisible — even though you’re doing everything?
This gentle, supportive three-part workshop series is for parents who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stretched too thin.

Through guided conversation, creative reflection and practical wellbeing tools, we’ll explore how to move from burnout towards balance — in a calm, welcoming space.

Led by Gemma Dean (Wellbeing Coach) and Sima Rahman-Huang (Artist), these workshops offer time to pause, feel seen, and reconnect with yourself.

Workshop Dates & Topics

1. Parental Burnout
Wednesday 25 February | 10:30am – 12:00pm
Feeling exhausted, disconnected or irritable?
We’ll explore what parental burnout is, how it differs from everyday stress, the key signs to look out for, and how to begin preventing and recovering from burnout.

2. The Parental Plate
Wednesday 4 March | 10:30am – 12:00pm
As parents, we keep adding more to our plates — school, work, family needs — without taking anything off.
This session explores the invisible load of parenting, why setting boundaries feels hard, and how to protect your time, energy and wellbeing without guilt.

3. Balance
Wednesday 10 March | 10:30am – 12:00pm
Do you find yourself overthinking, losing sleep, or imagining worst-case scenarios?
We’ll look at anxiety vs stress, why parents are especially prone to persistent worry, and practical ways to support calm and balance.
